code for a basic hit counter?

does any one know a basic code for a hit counter, im using them for my avatars on my site (http://www.geocities.com/sugakreationz) you'll see tht currently the code I've got is not accurate. but i want one similar. i could sign up for counters but im afraid they wil not work in time as has happede to me in the past and also coz i have so many avatars i cant sign up lots of times! id be spamming! or i would like a code similar to:

icontic.com
and
my theme.com

Hi and welcome to DEVPPL.

There are two types of counters, the once you have on your site (Which are programmed in PHP or ASP) or services where you just add a javascript-code to your site.

I can make a simple one for you if your server supports PHP, does it?

You can get loads of free hit counters from loads of sites

dont like any of them just google "free hit counter"

I think sweet_thing2090 needs a counter that shows how many times an avatar has been viewed. At least that's what icontic.com uses. Geocities supports php only in a pro account http://geocities.yahoo.com/ps/learn2/WhatYouGet4_Pro.html
