Please help if you can! I have made a website image gallery, and I am stuck!

I have created an image map, then divided it into smaller thumbnail images, which, when you rollover them, cause a larger version of the thumbnail image to appear on the page. Also when you click on the thumbnails a pop up window with even larger version of the same image appears.

But one problem. When you first mouseover the thumbnails, I want a text decription of each thumbnail image to appear, as you do so. On a pc, in Internet Explorer, this happens anyway, with the "alt text", but ofcourse the alt text doesn't show up, when viewing this page on a Mac. And I really need the image text descriptions to show up, when people view this page on a Mac.

If anyone can suggest which html to add to the coding to make the alt text descriptions of my images, work on a Mac, I'd be thrilled. Many MANY thanks!
