Slices and HTML (Slices into own table cells)

I have created my website graphics in photoshop in an 800 x 600 image.

I have used the slice tool to cut the image up into selected segments.

I have noticed that when I slice, slice 1 is always there by default as an auto slice.

My problem is this: when I export it and open it up in my wisywig editor (Dreamweaver in my case) I cannot convert between layers and tables as it complains that there are overlapping layers.

How can this be as each image is exactly the same size as the table cell they are designated too?

Hope this makes sense.

I have also had prevent overlapping layers on.

Make sure dreamweaver is setup for CSS tables and not HTML tables as they can make a large difference in overlapping.
