Hello forum members,

My name is Sandra and I have a little problem changing a color of a logo. It is a transparent gif and only the color yellow has to be changed to red.

What is the easiest way to do this?

This is the picture:



The word "videotheek"has to stay black, the yellow has to be red and needs to be transparant as it is. It should get the color red: #CC0000

Can someone help me with this please. Any help is appreciated.

I saved and opened the image as gif.
Set foreground color to CC0000
Change the image color mode by image>mode>RGB color
Used the magic want tool to select the yellow areas.
Filled the selected areas by alt + backspace and voila:

Thank you so much for helping me out with the color change and explanation. I will try the exact same thing in photoshop to make it a different color again to see if I understand how it works. I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi, Sandra. changing the color in gif is much easier then you can imaging. Just open you image. Go to image->mode->color table, find your color in the table, double click it and change the way you like.
