When I select a few pixels (10 to 20) and pick a brush to paint inside the selection, several pixels outside the selection window get tinted. I have turned anti-aliasing off and set the feathering to the lowest setting allowed (0.2), but it still won't stay in the lines.
A similar issue occurs when I cut the selection (ctrl-x). Several tinted pixels are left behind. I want Photoshop to select ALL the pixels I select, but no more.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? |

Ok by the sounds of things you are making a selection then going, to select--> feather ? Well if so thats your problem the lowest feather is .2, so to get that crisp selection, when you select the marquee tool just above the tools bar and slightly to the right theres a box which says feather set that to 0. Voila your perfect selcetion.
As for the deleting problem thats something i know why it happens but to get around it, go select --> modify --> expand (1px) then you have a selection 1px bigger than your shape, hit the delete button, all gone if you want it back the the normal size again select --> modify --> contract (1px) |
