This is going to sound really stupid but I cant do a really simple operation on illustrator and I need help! I'm trying to make swril shapes to decorate lettering in an ornate kind of way and so I've found a tutorial (link below). I'm used to using freehand and in such its quite easy to click and discover but with illustrator I've tried to do the first part of the tutorial and failed miserably! I've made the circle shape but I cant seem to drag the path point? When I click and drag the point of the path to extrude the circle I just move the circle! I'm using the white pointer and I know this is probabily really simple but what do I do?
Thanks in advance!!

| To my knowledge there isn't a spiral tool - you will just have to do it freehand by using the brush tool. |
