Hello there!
I would like to know if it is possible to produce a 3d application with flash which incorporates controllers (buttons) to allow users to control/ manoeuvre an object, such as a mobile phone.
An example of this concept can be found here: http://content.hmxmedia.com/sony/dcr_sr72_3d_eu/index.html
This requires Java in order to run. I was wondering wether or not i would be able to achieve this by firstly creating the 3d object in 3ds Max, subsequently importing it into flash in order to somehow make buttons which can act as controllers via script.
I want to avoid making a series of scenes in Max, then just putting them together in Flash, so that the buttons toggle between each scene. i.e If i choose to display a flip phone, one button may control the phone opening and closing. I could incorporate this of course, but i would like to suspend the object in 3d space with the cursor influencing the direction and the nature in which the object rotates, zoomes in/out etc.
Thanx a lot for ur interest in this topic, and i would deeply appreciate if you could help me with this issue

No its not possible to do this in flash, you could do it in shockwave though. Which is the like the 3d version of flash. Check it out, ive never used it much myself.

Actually, it is possible. But sort of expensive.
PaperVision is amazing, search google for it. It takes skill... but if you look at ElectricRain's Swift3D (version 5) it allows just that, 3d modelling with export to flash... and it generates the camera and controls automatically I believe. Look into it
