I am trying to do something like the second and third examples here:
http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/object/4258661_sound_wave.php?id=4258661
The collage of sine waves...Any tips or tutorial recommendations? I tried to replicating in photoshop with the vector tools...it took forever but I was not able to get my desired results...Illustrator must be able to do this faster and better.
Any assistance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

hmm...just draw the first line with the Pen Tool and then copy and past it again and again until you have enough lines (Command+D = gotta love it) Then just use the free transform tool. Or maybe you can just adjust the height of the lines using the direct selection tool.
sorry, not exactly sure..haven't tried this. |
