Ive got an older version of Illustrator but a newer version of photoshop, what does illustrator do that photoshop doesnt? What is the difference between the two?

Just trying to figure this out.

Well Illustrator is used for creating vector art, it can be resized to any size without loosing quality. Photoshop is more for photo manips touch ups and stuff like that. Photoshop will get you realistic effects where Illustrator will be line art and sorta cartoon-ey.

Thanks....

Is there any way to convert between the two? Does it take a certain type of image or file format? I guess i can play around with it a little bit.

I have a company logo that I think I need in vector form.... any suggestions?

Yea you can make something in photoshop or illustrator then import and export between the two.

the othere thing that i know is in illustrator u can resize ur graphics from smallest to biggest or biggest to smallest coz its vector base unlike in photoshop u can resize it to smaller but not into bigger because photoshop is pixel base... but theres alot of feutures that is not in illustrator too.. Smile thats only my opinion

In photoshop you can use the pen tool, It's vector based.
