The title says it all. At one time, I was able to choose any tolerance I want. And now, for some mysterious reason that I cannot explain, it no longer allows me to change the tolerance. What the heck is going on? How can I revert it to working again?
Thanks,

one more thing: when I put the cursor over the "tolerance" word, it says "set range when sampling color". I dont know where this came from. If I Google this, then only one website comes up which is in chinese or japanese or somethingese. This pisses me off. It worked a week ago and now it is no longer working and nobody in the world seems to have encountered the same problem.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I think I figured it out! It is a defect in the Photoshop software. If you are using Magic Wand, and then close the program, then the next time you open photoshop, you will not be able to adjust the tolerance. That's right. So, in order to make sure that it doesnt break on you, all you have to do is make sure magic wand is not selected when you close your photoshop. That's it. My testing has so far confirmed this theory. Has anyone else got caught on this crap?

To be more precise - it's a defect of your software and hardware combo, not Photoshop software in general. Have you tried trashing the preference files?
