Is there anyway to create a curved line with a 3 pixel brush stroke for instance inside a vector mask so i can resize it without quality loss? Arrow

Sure - there's a line tool in the shapes palette. (The equivalent of drawing a really really thin vector rectangle.) To curve it, add and drag anchor points.

Your path needs to be closed at both ends, like this:

NOT like this:

Either use the pen tool to create a closed path, or try using this tool here:

Hope this helps Smile

ok i knew you had to do that but it seems a bit long winded. is there any way i can duplicate the path and then join the ends so that i dont have to "re draw" the same path twice.
thanks for the help btw.

Yes there is - exactly like you just said. It's also a bit long winded:

Copy the path and paste it, then shift it so that it's in the right place relative the first line. You'll need to make adjustments because if it's a curved line it won't fit inside the first one properly. Then select the pen tool and use it to join up the ends.

(Illustrator is much better for this kind of drawing. If you have Illustrator I would recommend drawing your lines there and then copying and pasting them into Photoshop - although I'll probably get shot down by Photoshop fanatics for advising that! Smile )
