Thanks very much inksarat im glad you like it .

The image to me meens protection of the earth, if you have noticed i have added blemashes around the fingers for me it is to reprasent the decay of our protection caused by man and the loss of faith,wich is funny really as i am a none believer when it comes to God lol

The hands in my mind are the hands of God.

The land on the earth is south america.

I only started using photoshop on the 7th of april so im happy with the results but not perfect to what i wanted but im happy and i will keep working on it

It looks good, but there are some little things here and there that really detract from its potential.

The biggest problem I see is that you have contradicted the depth of the scene. When you are working with depth things with less contrast (that appear more washed out) are perceived by the eye to be farther away than things that are sharper and clearer. The placement of the earth and the lighting non the palms suggest to the viewer that the planet is directly above the palms, but the forefingers in the picture are more washed out than the earth and the palms so we think that the fingers are farther back. Obviously you can see how it is impossible for the fingers to be farther back than the palms in this picture so our brain sees this as somewhat paradoxical.

The way to fix this would be to increase the contrast on the fingers while simultaneously darkening them to show to the viewer that the light source (the Earth) is behind them. At the same time I would tone down the earth's saturation to help push it towards the back and blend into the shot better.

I really love the concept and most of the effects are very well placed - like the sunburst - so I would say you have made great strides in only a month. Keep practicing!
