I like the layout an colour scheme, the only thing that bothers me is that "Paint" image. The paint breaks the frame on that one but none of the other images there break their own frame and it jsut feels weird to me.
Also the amount of text up top feels a little heavy to me but it may be different when it's actually made. I think it's because the address isn't written like an address would normally be formatted.
Great job, keep up the good work. |

Hey guys,
thanks for the comments, really appreciate you guya taking the time to look and post your opinion on my design.
@dlfynn..i will make the paint icon fit in its area...i did like it like that..but keep the same formula eh..
The amount of text..seems like an ongoing problem with me at the moment...can you expand on what you mean text top heavy...is having the address in that little space at the top too much...
again thanks for your comments. |

I think the address is over doing it. I like to put the address on the left side relatively close to the logo but out of the way, if you know what I mean. It seems to be a popular trend now a days to do it this way but I find it effective.
Click on the image to view it at its original size
This is jsut a quick example of what I was thinking.
1)The red indicating that the address could go the right side and move the box on that side down a tick.
2)The gold box up top should match the colour in the header, or the other way around.
3)The brush being moved inside the box
4)The blue indicates simple cosmetic stuff that kinda threw me off, as a customer ofcourse.
I think that the other three images deserve a much attention as the paint brush got. They look very basic and boring compared to the paint brush which leaps off the page.
I hope this doesn't offend, I think you did a great job but we all need a second set of eyes to see the other side I always think I'm done a design until someone looks at it and goes "What in the hell were you thinking!?"
Cheers |

Hi dflynn,
Excellent job, love the effort you went to to explain your point..Im not offended at all..i preciate comments that are backed up.
I will take everything you mentioned on board.
i do hate designing icons...spend too much time on them!
and i agree, it never hurts for a second pair of eyes to have a quick scan.
cheers |

I like the second one alot Great work, the only thing I can suggest for that is to add a little something to the header, it looks very plain and boring, I was attracted to the rest of the site before I even saw the name |

| The second one is much better. Its cleaner, better laid out and it lost that "90s" feel. |

I liked the "90s" feel, but this new design is very good. Can't really fault it, only thing to me is the top bar (tel, fax, email) seems a little thick for such small font and little amount of text.
Good work,

| Flabby Rabbit is right, that could be shrunk to about half it's size. |
