I need some help with something.

I've been using Photoshop for about 5 months now.
I'm having problems with font all of a sudden, when I type nothing shows on your image. Regarldess to the colours, of course I'm not using the same colour as the background. The layers opacity layer is set to 100%. But still, nothing is showing at all. I tried selecting the font bye pressing ctrl then clicking the layer in the pallete, but it says "No pixels were selected". So basically, It's not typing anything. Strange thing is, in the layer palette it tells me what I have just typed.

Anyone know what's wrong?

Try this first....with the type tool selected, go up to the options bar (top of the window) and on the far left side you'll see an icon of the Type tool. Click on the down pointing arrow and another small window/menu will open that has an arrow pointing to the right. Click on that arrow and select "Reset Tool Presets".

If that doesn't solve the problem try resetting Photoshop's preference file. To do that, restart Photoshop while holding the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys (Mac: Command, Option, Shift) down. A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences file. Choose "Yes". Of course, after the reset you'll have to re-adjust some of your preferences.
Hope this helps.
