| CTRL + D doesn't work... well, eventually I de-selected it somehow... just don't know how. Where can I add downloaded fonts? |

C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\
If you have installed your windows into a different folder then C:\WINDOWS you should use that one instead, and add the \FONTS\ behind that. |

| To deselect text, press the Marquee Tool and click outside the "text selection". |

The animation is usually dont in ImageReady. You can easily switch from Photoshop to ImageReady by pressing (Shift+Ctrl+M).
Anyhow, now in Creative Suite 2 you can animate your pictures within Photoshop. I actually like the animations in Photoshop. You can view the animation window by going to Window>Animation.
Good luck |

| I would either make a white dot (set on a a low opacity) or a short line (set on low opacity too) run through that circut with some tweening. To make it look more professional made I maybe give it some outer glow or very minor spark effects. |
