I've used Photoshop to make a few sigs they were pretty basic and easy. But this annoying thing is how do I get rid of a white border around a image? Shocked

Hi and welcome to DEVPPL.

I suggest that you click on the Magic Wand Tool, click on the white area and press DELETE. The white area will now be done, but you will still have the drop-shadow. So click on the Ereaser Tool and just erease it.

or

use the polygolal lasso tool and go around the image then when ur happy with it press ctrl shitf and i and hit delete.

Magic wand tool, like webmaster suggested, works perfect when the background is either white or black and the part of the picture that you want to extract has very different colours from the background color. Like in your example.

If that is not the case and the item you want to extract and the background have similar colors I use the pen tool. Just make a path around the border of the extraction, make the anchors smooth looking and then chance the path into a selection. Much better than the lasso tool in my opinion Smile
