30,000 pixel limit in Photoshop cs2

Hi All:

I've been reading alot about the 30,000 pixel limit error in cs2. This one person said he downloaded a bunch of brushes that worked great in Photoshop 8 cs but now they won't work in 9. If this is the case is there any point in upgrading from 8 to 9? Appreciate any input on this matter. Thanks

Most brushes only work in the version they where created in and lower.

I suppose he could makeanimage with all of thebrushes on in V8 then open them up in V9 and turn them into bushes from there
