A major issue(help needed)

Hello everyone im new in this forum and in photoshop and i have an issue.

So im learning on how to make signatures but my problem is when i start a new project and when i open a new image and i cant switch between the two images and my question is where can i activate the option to see the windows? I will leave here a link and the time of a video where the he has the window option and i dont:

I hope i understand the issue... smiling... otherwise this is the wrong answer probably..lol..

i had cs1 and it automatical create a seperate window and when i upgrade to newer version.. seems i lost that...

now there maybe a setting however... untill i find it...
the image below guides you what i do....



i have2 images files open but only one show..
there at the top there two image tab
the 3123 tab is what being shown...
I right click on the 2nd image , logo imager tab, and chose "move image to new window"
now i have both images displayed on the screen ...

that the way i do it with this new version of ps which i am still learning theropes on.... ... but i am looking for a setting that automatically open s new window whenever you open a addition image file...

The problem is that there isnt any tab bar in my version and i cant add that option, here is an example of the only way i can switch between two tabs:

Photoshop is in portuguese(sorry) but i think u still can understand where is the option to activate it.

Like «jerryb» is showing in the picture he has the tab bar visable and i dont have that option.

Well nvm i downloaded a new version of PS. My previous version was PS extended which i believe it dont has tabs, the one i downloaded which is PS portable is the common PS version in all tutorials

what version of ps do you have...

when i open more than one the bar is automatically created with those little image tabs..
once i have selected those images and thier all displayed those little tab at thetop they go away..

the only way i get them back is by using the meathod that idad mentioned, go to arrange document button, and clicking consoldate all....

but iam still not sure what your trying to do....? i thought at first that you wanted just the image file in it own little window .. and apparently you you know how to do that.. so now not quite what you need...

maybe idad can jump..

Like i said my previous version was PS CS4 extented which i was having problems with, the version im using atm is the PS CS4 portable.

I wanted to see the tab bar because before i wasnt been able to see it(when u open a new image it is supose to make a tab with the name of it but it didnt happened to me) but now i can see and i guess the problem is the version(weird but its the only possible way unless there is an hidden option to mark to set a tab bar).

hi,

i thought at first it a 32 bit or 64 bit difference but the feature works the same in both...

if were on the same page sort of speak it seems both cs5 and cs4 has the same feature, works in the sameway.. that document arrangment .. so i don't see it being a version dependent!


this point was inserted after i wrote all that other stuff and i was still looking...
and came across something that lookslike a cure....
if when you open a image (s) you do not get the image tab bar.......

now normally it appears the image tab is set by defualt it could forsome unknown reason it not set... so make sure check marked.!
