Another newbie needs help before she loses new job!

Postby skupe on Mon May 21, 2007 11:59 am

I'm using Photoshop and I have to make a button on a web site that I need to copy exactly or as close as possible. It sea green on top of gray with a gif in royal blue of someone's name. The button will say Scharfman Lab.

I know how to use the gradient tool but I don't know how to put the green on top of the gray without moving the name (top layer). Once I delete the name my color pallette changes and I can't get it back to the gray green combination.

Please help. Thanks.

Suz

Why don't you make the gradient with the blending options

Well, you rightclick on the layer with the object and then select blending options, then go to gradient overlay and i think you can figure out the rest :)

Another question! Thanks for that. The button was created for me --someone at work knows photoshop. Now how do I upload it to the web site?
