Appling adjustments to multiple images

Postby MGillman on Sat Apr 02, 2011 10:31 am

Hi,

I was wondering whether it is possible to apply an adjustment to multiple images?
I have around 200 photos i am going to level and curves for, however, i dont want to do this one by one, soo, is it possible to apply those layers of levels and curves to all the images?

I have CS3, ive already tried opening all 200 at once but its say its too many!

Thanks

Matt

hi,
if the adjustment is going to be exactly the same ... for all of them, then i can see where using action along with batch processing would work fine.

record your action ... and then run a batch opertaion with the action
you can set it up where automaticly opens a file, runs the action, and do a save as and it repeats the process ... also you can set it up for the action to pause if you thhink addition adjustment needs to be doen on a specific image during the batch processing...

if your not familiar with actions....
here a simple tutorial

simple tutorial on recording action and running batch ...

there are ton of other tutorials on the net and also there tons of free actions...

hi your welcome...
action .. when it ocme to repetitive type things can definitely save you a lot o time... plus there a ton of free actions out that covers alot...

also if your familiar with java.... using java scripting is like actions on steroids...

you can do a lot more.....

anyway good luck on your projects
