hi,
my opinion and keep inmind there a lot of ways to do the same in photoshop ..
it always difficult to try and backtrack and try to determine what was done or how to duplicate a photo shot ...
the top picture sort of reminds me of the old poloroid images that had aged over time ...
i see basically 2 elements...
1. a softness to the image..
2 . and a tint ....
1. the softness you could apply a light guassian blur
2. there appears to be a light yellowish tint .... here i would maybe add a color fill layer, a shade of yellow, and assigned a blending mode soft light and play around with the opacity setting ..
depending on the orginal imageother things might have been done....
now here tutorial on color fill layers and using blending.... that you might find interesting .. there a psd file avail for download that you can use with that simple tutorial
http://www.fstutorials.com/tutorial/pho ... oto/11142/ andlike i mentioned earlier.. it look like a old poloroid shot... if you do a search things like "photoshop tutorial vintage effects" or photoshop tutorial poloriod effects ..... you should find many moretutorials..
