Automate eyedropper location

Postby aido on Fri Jul 27, 2007 4:46 am

Hi,

I want to automate a photoshop action so that the eyedropper records a color at a particular X, Y location.

By default, when you record an eyedropper action it sets the foreground color to the value selected in the current image, it does not record an action that will dynamically set the foreground color to the X, Y location of the eyedropper.

The closest I have come thus far is to use the color sampler tool, which will record the X, Y location, however as far as I know there is no way to actually set a color sampler color to the foreground color.

Anyone have any ideas?

Why do you need to recrod a color at a particular X, Y location?
And if so.. WHy not record the color you need one by one and add them on another layer as a color palet.
