Bevel and Emboss Text in Illustrator CS

Postby Moviebratt » Sun Jul 17, 2005 6:48 pm

Does any one out there have a good method for making bevel and embossed text in illustrator cs?

Also does anyone know of any good tutorial sites for illustrator?

I used illustrator up to version 8 like crazy but haven't needed it much since then until now, any help would be greatly apreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Yeah use that Gel-text tutorial to make the white side top-left and make it black down-right, then maybe you can change the opacity for thoose two colors to make it look like a bevel effect.

I don't know how to bevel&emboss but 3D text is available.First make 2 text (different color) then create outline (Select text and in Type menu select Create Outline). After two text layer is outline, use blend tool (Blend option is specified steps)to get 3D text effect.
