Boosting the quality of my graphics card

The card I have is Geforce FX5500 256MB yes it's old or so I am thinking but i'd still like to do this til I can buy a new card. Is there anyway to do this easily so my games run smoother?

You could try overclocking, but that can get you only few % increase in performance, while risking to completely burn your card. So the answer is no. You can only update drivers.
