Brother Printer

Hey everybody. I'm currently working on a Brother Printer (HL-1440) and am having a bit of a problem. I think I found the problem (a tiny broken spring), but I can't find any parts breakdown or diagram anywhere. I've searched google several times with no luck. I'm currently checking with local repair shops to see if they have a book or diagram I can look at, but no luck yet there either. I was wondering if any of you have, or have access to, or just know where I can find, a parts breakdown for this printer. I think a breakdown for other models may work as well (HL-1450, 1460, ...). Any assistance is much appreciated.

all i could really find is the users guide for that model... and i dont think it will do you any good...

Thanks for looking Phate. I found that too, but it doesn't show any breakdown of the printer. I checked with my local Brother service center and they gave me the line "We have the book becuse we're special and you're not, nah nah nah!" Or at least that's what I got out of it.

I found a guy on ebay that sells cds with the service & parts manuals on them so I went ahead and ordered one. It seemed like a pretty well established company, so hopefully I won't get screwed over on the deal. I figured for $15, if it's wrong I won't be out much. He ships via USPS so I should have it by the end of the week. If anyone has any future problems with Brother printers/copiers/faxes let me know and I'll look to see if that service manual is on one of the cds.
