Can I Automate auto-incrementing a number on layer 1?

I need to have 300 seperate PSD's, each one containing another number on layer 1. So if I save then all, I will have the same photo except the number is different on each one.

This is a real tedious job, does anybody know if this can be automated?

No, on the image I mean. Basically I want to change the text on that layer.
