Can anyone please help. This is my problem concerning Photoshop. I am a very keen amateur photographer but up to now have never shot in RAW mode simply because you get more shots on a card with JPEG and they have always been good enough. However, after reading about the advantages of post editing I decided to shoot all my pictures in RAW on a holiday to Switzerland and France which I have just returned from.
I use 3 cameras with a different lens on each to save changing lenses and avoid the dust on sensor problem. The cameras are a Nikon D70, a Nikon D80 and Nikon D1X.
I have 2 versions of Photoshop on my computer 0.7 and CS2.
With Photoshop 0.7 I can open the pictures from the D1X (TIFF) and the D70 (NEF) but not the D80 (also NEF)
With Photoshop CS2 I can open none at all. I have downloaded the ‘camera raw 4.3’ plug-in from Photoshop’s own website and installed it as per instructions but it still doesn’t work.
I have tried just opening Photoshop thinking it would work but it didn’t.
I have gone through C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats\Camera_Raw_3_4 and double left clicked which opened Photoshop but that didn’t work.
I have right clicked on the plug-in then chosen ‘open with’ from the dropdown and selected to open with Photoshop but that didn’t work either.
So I have 250 pictures which I cannot do anything with.
I think it’s probably just me not knowing what to do.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
