code on how to see how many times an image has been viewed.

haiya guys, some forums have this feauture, there are some images in a page and below it, there is a text showing how many times the image had been viewed. is that code still i html, or js?

if someone know how to do it, can you help me plz?

I think that would be achieved using PHP and MySQL. Where MySQL is a database and it holds a record for each image and every time the image is viewed the PHP updates the record.

well, there is actually lots of features i want my website to have. haha! But the prob is, I don't know how to code it. Like making a comment box, I can't understand how to do those tutorials. But i've found a zip file of somethng like guess comment box. All I need to do is just save it in the ftp where my html's are saved. Anyway, back to the image viewed times, I tried to google on how to do it but i didnt find an easy tut. as what you have said, i can do it in php and mysql right? I dont know much about mysql actually. I guess you can explain it to me.
