Command prompt issues

Command prompt issues

Postby Kotik on Sun Sep 02, 2007 4:15 am

When ever I go to start > run > cmd I get a message "the command prompt has been diabled by the administrator. Strange thing is that I am the administrator of the computer so what do I do? I need the command prompt :)

Any help appreciated

You (or some tweaking programs or something like that) propably disabled command promt from group policy. Type gpedit.msc in run dialog and try to find it there, I forgot where it is exactly, but if you can't find it I will take a look and help you.

I checked Microsoft's site, it is in User Configuration->Administrative templates->System, double clikc the "Prevent access to the command prompt and set it to Not Configured (recommended) or Disable.
