Hi thanks for your comments.
I knew you guys will mention the loading rate which in all fairness is an issue but i have yet to address this and will optimize the images. And i feel this will reduce the time taken to download.
i hold my hands up, and it wasnt hard to spot an editor was used much to my satisfaction.
The person i had designed the page for only requested an image to be done, it was my first draft aswell, got excited in photoshop, and she will do the rest, and as i thought and has used an editor, as i predicted.Well i think she has, as originally she asked me to do the whole thing.
My first problem was first convincing her, yes it looked nice but having those images packed full of depth and quality will come back to haunt her, as the only way to keep the appearence would be to slice it up, creating so many tables and basicly annoy the hell out me creating the layout it in css. I tried to convince her less is more in regards to the visual side but as arty farts are somewhat set in their ways i had more chance of getting pissed on a glass of water then her inderstanding where im coming from.
so as i simply handed over the image she did the rest, using what johneva had stated. By the way, what does that actually stand for?
i have got back to her stating these facts and what to do about it. You know keep the code clean as it would pay off in the longterm. But she insists on keeping the visuals as it is. To my annoynace, i`ve created a monster!!! aarrgg!!
My assistance would be to, as stated reduce image file size and opt to hide the ugly mug of a code using css? and possibly, if she puts her arty feelings aside create another look.
do you guys have any suggestions? have i missed something at what improvement i can do?
oh and thanks for the link, i had actually used my own dial up, which i use to prove a point,to assumulate dowload times.
is there any help for frankenstien creation?
cheers
