[Illustrator CS4] Compound Path without inner border
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to create a shape where I extract a text from. I'm doing this by using a compound path.
My problem is that the compound path inherits the style of the shape which resolves in an inner border (border around my text).
Is there a way that allows me to still be able to alter the border color of the shape but it does not apply to the compound path itself?

For those who are looking for an answer:
1) Select Type and underlying path,
2) Transparency (flyout)>Make Opacity Mask (Clip and Inverse unticked).
Problem solved
