If I build my website completetly in Photoshop (I'm a photographer, so there's not a ton of text on my site as it is), will that hurt my search engine visiblity?
I know they place a lot of weight on body text that's relevant to the search terms; if I put text in a slice, would that still be considered an "image"?
I just want to be able to use photoshop to design my page, it would be the simplest, but not at the expense of my search engine ranking. |

Your right a site with no content will suffer SEO wise.
Also if you have used Potoshop to build you page I can almost garantee that your coding for the site will also hold you back too.
It depends just how competitive the search terms are that you want to do well though. you may find after just getting a load of links pointing to your site you do well just off that. But you may find that you have to do a lot more than that depending on how common the search term is. |

| mmmmmmmm.......... well building full websites with photoshop and flash is certainly not recommended at all. but it you want to build navigation menu with photoshop you can do it. Put right alt tags for those navigation pictures and provide a text navigation at the bootom of the website. You can also provide two versions of your website: one text and one photoshop linking them between each other. |
