i'm pretty experienced w/ photoshop but have no idea what im doing when it comes to illustrator. if any of you are familiar with spreadshirt (spreadshirt.com) you will probably most helpful but anyone who knows what they're doing on illustrator can probably help me.

here are the directions they give you http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c113/sfbb723pm/print_submissions_ai.jpg

I think what they mean by deleting raster graphics is that they don't want any rasters in the file, so you either need to delete them or convert them to vector. If you have CS2, you can convert that drawing to vector. Select the raster graphic, then go to object>live trace>tracing options. Checkmark the preview box. Then fool around with all the different options until you get it looking as close to the original raster drawing as possible.

You may have some challenges due to that image - it has a lot of blurring. Make sure to change all of the options until you get it as close as possible. Chances are that it won't be exact. Live trace works best with rasters that have sharp lines and edges.
