Hi
i just created my 1st action
( actually the effect-thermal is not my idea , i got it
from a google search , i forget the authours name )
But to save me time i created an action from it as i like it
so much
Yet for some reason the final step 8 , where i duplicate the
layer and move it up isnt recorded or played , i have to do that
final step myself
Why is this , and how can i fix it ?
Hers the steps i take , i left exact values-apply settings out to save space
Step 1: Open Your Image
Step 2: Go To Image > Adjustments > Hue/Stauration (Ctrl+U) And Apply These Settings .....
Step 3: Duplicate The Layer (Ctrl+J) And Go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur And Follow These Settings.....
And Set The Blending Mode To 'Overlay'
Step 4: Merge the Two Layers Together (Ctrl+E) And Once Again, Duplicate The Layer, this Time Go: Filter > Blur > Motion Blur, And Use The Following Settings.....
Set The Blend Mode To 'Overlay' And Merge the Layers Again
Step 5: Create A New Layer, Fill It With White And Set The Blend Mode To 'Overlay'
Step 6: Create Another Layer, Fill It With #000099. Goto Filter > Render > Clouds, And Set The Blend Mode To 'Overlay' And The Opacity To 57%
Step 7: Create, Yet Another New Layer And Fill It With White And Set The Blend Mode To 'Difference'
Step 8: Duplicate The Original Layer (The Picture) And Place It Second From Top In Your Layers Pallete, Set The Blend Mode To 'Darken'
Step 8 where i duplicate layer and move it up doesnt record/play in my actions
Thanks

Thanks m8
In mean time i kept at it
and figured it out and thought i should share in case
others need it
My error was for duplicating and merging i didnt always use
keyboard shortcuts , ctrl-j and ctrl-e , it seems any other way is
not recorded in actions , odd i know , but now it applies the last
step for me
Also in some pix where u fill a layer with white , you may get some
weird cutoff points if u use gradient tool , so i used paint bucket tool
and thats fixed now as well
Cheers idad
