Creating an animated gif

Postby jaimehill on Tue May 15, 2007 9:51 am

Hi - I'm fairly new to Photoshop and find the help files pretty useless.

I'm using CS2, although I have access to ImageReady also.

What I'm trying to do is create an animated gif for use on website. I have six images which I need to include, with preferably a fade effect from image to image (although that's not a problem), on a continuous loop. How do I import all 6 images into a file so that I can apply the transitions?

I'm starting to get quite frustrated now, so any advice or tips would be gratefully received! :x

Many thanks in anticipation.

:)

just create a new imageready file in the size of your pictures.
then control+c and control+v your images into the document.
that's it!

Either that or you could create an image in photoshop with each different image being a different layer and then click the "jump to imageready" button at the bottom of your toolbox.

That way everything is already in order for your animation.

Open imageready then make new doc with dimentions same size as pics, then paste each diffrent pic by going file > paste then click on the top rioght arrow on the animation box and go make slides from layers, or w/e it is. Then to get fade inbetween each one click tween and ajust setting to how you woould like.
