im sorry but im very new at this.I would like to know if it was posible to seporate someone from s bsckground or a group of people.lets say u have a photo.and u want to seporate your mom from the picture so u can creat something just with her.is it possible to cut her out of the picture somehow and the get the cut out image on a blank sheet all by itself?thanks in advanced

First of all why you are sorry... that is this forum is all about...

Yes you can separate someone by select him/her. First select the person with a magnetic lasso or pen tool.. feather the selection... make a copy ...then paste it into a new layer...

there many methods to do this. This is one and easiest of them.

yup! that's an excellent tutorial indeed.
i read the tutorial, and use the technique described there ever since.

for me, the pen tool technique is the best way to separate an object from its surroundings.
combine it with another technique if you find it hard to separate hair area.
