Diagonal Gradient Pattern

Postby gruebz on Thu Sep 04, 2008 6:03 am

Hey,

I was hoping someone could me out here. I'm pretty new at using photoshop.

I am trying to create following as a background image:

but I am unsure how to do it so that I can define it as a pattern so that I can use the Paint Bucket Tool. I can't get the diagonal gradient to line up properly.

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

I think paint bucket tool is most useful when filling in large areas with a singe color or pattern. As for gradient, remember that you can start outside the canvas which should allow you to achieve that effect. Also create your own custom gradient which repeats itself within the gradient so you're not constantly having to line up the gradients themselves.

Anyway, here's a quick 10 minute thing that I did. If it's what you're looking for I could probably write up a tutorial.
