Does .net support Multi-platform ?

Does .net support Multi-platform ?

Postby Joe on Wed Apr 27, 2005 3:14 pm

Hi:

If I write windows form application using .net, will it run on MAC or Linux computer?
I read in window form book that .net forms supports multi-platforms.
However, I also read in java servlets book that .net stuff will only work on computers with windows as OS. I am not sure who is right.
Thanks.

Microsoft.Net application will run in all Windows Platforms which has the Microsoft.Net framework installed.
There is no direct way to make them work in Mac or Linux systems. Opensource has been developing a .Net equivalent for making it work in Linux.
