Easy problem: Add some text to a MS Word file (tipical .doc)

Postby ZeuZ on Mon Dec 22, 2008 12:45 am

Hi everyone, well this is something easy to do I beleave, I need to add some text to a word file, in a determinated position (wich I beleave I can handle) and after that, print it...
My evaluated chances are:
1) Use richtextbox, hidden or visible.
2) Try to load the file without it, and send it to print directly after each modification...

I'm using Visual Basic 6.0, and I'm retrieving some data from a MS Access Database, wich, I later on migrate to an array, for sending envelop prints to the printer so I don't have to write them myself...
Actually, talking about that, I have another issue wich is not directly related to this one, shall I post it here or will it break the rules?

you can upload your vb6 sourcecode and write down the site where we can download it.

Well, I acutally took a different approach to solve the problem as I was in a hurry...
I took an image of the background, then over it placed textboxes (custom ones, they're "like crystal" over the image to fullfil the data, after that, I'll just have to print the form)
Now, the only problem that remains is: How to set the printing paper size as envelope?
