EdgeFire Games (looking for help)
Team Name: EdgeFire Games
Project Name:
Emancipal, The Creator
Brief description:
The setting of the game places you 100 years from now, putting you in the exosuit of a soldier in the special (and super secret : )) forces. Your enemies will range from earth origin to others out of this world. You’re a fighter, a killer trained with the cold black metal of a weapon. The weapons of your choosing are modified from today’s weapons, along with new more unique guns and grenades.
Target aim:
Our target aim is to create a Scifi FPS with a compelling story, and a constant change in gameplay to keep game play interesting and worth while! We also want to continue on with the story while meeting new developers in the pursuit to make a damn fine game!
Compensation:
This is a non-paying job directed toward those who are still building their trade skills. This is for all hobbyists out there that want to get into a development team that has their priorities straight and know how to go about completing a game.
Technology:
The game will be available for PC Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista, The game Blitz 3d using the Ashadow (actual name) system. The developers that join the team can use any tool they are associated with. Here's a list of features:
-Normal/Bump/Specular Mapping
-Bloom
-Stencil Shadow System
-Reflection/Refraction Includes 3D water
-3D Dynamic Clouds
-Fast Sprite Based Particle System
-Full 3D Level Editor
-Built In Triggers to dynamicly alter the game.
Talent needed:
EdgeFire needs: (NOTE: 1 person may fill up more than 1 job if they can handle it)

[2] 3d riggers - open
[2] 3d animators - open
[3] Texture artists - open
[3] 2d artists - open

Mitchell – Lead Programmer
Ritter - Secondary Programmer
Joe – Art Director, Writer
Eric – Concept/Reference Artist
Pete – Lead Concept Artist
As said before we are a mutually formed team but have been working together now for the past 4 weeks

Sounds intresting, however the story might need to be re worked because when i first read it i just thourght CRYSIS (the concept art also looks like crysis).
I have been teaching my self 3d modeling over a short period of time and will try for the first time a weapon tonight and show you what i get. Leading from this i might apply as a weapons modeler.
I have never created a game before so i have no idea what to do once i have the model, if i dont need to do anything with it thats great but if i do that might be somthing ill have to learn.

I am also fairly confident at level editing given the time.

- I can't rig.
