Enlargement/Resolution Request

Postby thegwalrus on Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:56 pm

Hello! I'm trying to blow up this image so that it could be printed onto a large poster for a wallpaper or wall scroll. It's a defunct band's album cover (Hail Social). I've never been able to find any large image of it, and obviously if I just magnify it, I lose a lot of clarity. I was hoping someone might be able to help, if this is even possible!

Any information or help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah, I'm aware of that.

and obviously if I just magnify it, I lose a lot of clarity.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me out, or point me in a direction so that I could help myself (if it's not a ridiculously tedious process).

3000x3000. It'll print about 10 inches square. It's sharpened for printing, so it's going to look oversharp on your screen. If you have Photoshop, set it's view to 25% to get a ballpark idea what the print will look like, sharpness-wise.

This is an enargement of 3600%, don't expect perfect. :D

Hope it helps,
