Exporting problem

I created a logo with large size in illustrator and exported to Photoshop... and it was exported with good quality.... when I needed the logo with very small size for a website... I resized it in Illustrator but when I exported to Photoshop it was so blurry... I couldn't work on it... I used all the ways for the export... EXPORT, PLACE...etc... Does there any body know better way for exporting? or know what is the problem in my case?
