i know tht this isin't perfect but then i had to wind it up in less than 15 minutes....

how can i make better flames(the tail of the ball)???

To make better flames.
Reference pictures and brushing.
It's rather delicate to brush with photoshop if your looking for some good results at least ..

quite good, though looks like a large ball of lave/plasma... but nice effect, keep it up :)

Like Excruciating said, fire is almost always best done by referencing actual photos. Learn to be creative! The following image is mostly a macro photo of a matchhead strike. I also used photos of ink in water, changing the color and blending them in. Lastly, I added a few brush strokes to tie it all together, and viola!

Thanks guys, but as I said, it's more about my photography skills than my Photoshop skills. The only photoshopping was the reddish tail that was originally photos of ink dissipating in water. A little careful layer masking, a few brush strokes, and there it is.
