Hi,
I have built a webpage incorporating a flash movie with an embedded flash video file. It works locally on my machine, but when I upload all the files to my webserver neither the video nor its controls appear. If I right-click on the portion of the screen the flash menu appears, so I know the page links to the .swf file correctly, but I assume it is not finding the .flv file.
When importing the video file into the flash document, I have tried supplying the local path to the .flv file, and alternatively supplying its path on my webserver. In both cases the video fails to load.
All the files have been uploaded to the server and the file structure exactly matches that of my local machine.
I am using Flash Professional 8.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. If I haven't supplied enough information to help solve the problem, please tell me what I need to add.
Many thanks,
Ian |

| I forgot to add that the site is written in a text editor and uploaded using an FTP client, as I don't have a copy of Dreamweaver. |
