i havea logo that i need it to look like a footprint in the background of my webpage.

how can i do that.

It depends on the effect you are going for. What I would do (if this is indeed the style you want) is to place the image in a layer of its own and a greyscale image of a footprint over it (also in its own layer). Then, by hand, select the depressed design created by the sole of the shoe, Inverse the selection (Ctrl + I) and, highlighting the image layer, delete what is selected.

What you should be left with is your image minus any part that was not in the depressed areas of the foot print.

thanks,

what i meant to say is that i have a logo of a company and i want this logo to look like a footprint in effect wise.

i want the image to look like its is pressed into the page.

Just use the Outer Bevel effect.

Double click the layer with the image. On the left hand side click where it says Bevel and Emboss and change the 'style' to outer bevel. Then just tinker with the size and density to get the right effect.
