I recently installed the Freespace 2 Open Source Project, the original game loader fs2.exe works fine, but when I tried to load either fs2_3_6_9.exe or fs2_3_6_10.exe it came up with missing openal.dll, so I went away downloaded the dll set it up in my system32 directory.
Now I have a new problem it comes up when trying to load fs2_3_6_x.exe
'The procedure entry point alcGetString could not be located in the dynamic linklibrary OpenAL32.dll'
Now I understand this may just be that I have the wrong version of openal.dll that I need, but I havent the faintest idea of which version is.
