GIF : Photoshop Forum

Soo, i added an anaimation scroll bar to one of my images in image ready...but when i go to save it i can only save as a jpeg. It says it has to be in GIF format for the actual animation to ork. Is there any way to save it as a GIF??

you cant do that out of image ready though...
or do u save it from image ready as a psp file then re-open it in pscs2?? and then save it.

i tried saving as optmized but then u can only save a html and jpeg

Well that doesn't make sense, because in my ImageReady program when you click 'save optimized as' the default format to save the animations as is GIF...somethin' must be wrong with it if you can't find any way at all to save it as a GIF, because it shouldn't be that hard to do.

I am using Photoshop Cs2, iunno i'll play around with it and see what i can do

In Imageready it is. Save optimized as. Then where it says save type as: from the drop down box select Images Only (".gif). It's save for web in photoshop and use default besides the settings box for both of them. I'm pretty sure that's how you do it.
