Gradient Bands

Postby Tomi on Sun Jan 11, 2009 5:06 am

I'm using PhotoShop CS3, and I am creating quite a colour intense glow with a dark gradient background. Where the colour fades there are bands of colour rather than a clear transition. Same thing has also happened with the background.

I should know the reason for this, how long have I been using PhotoShop? I am assuming it's the resolution, however in which case I guess the only option would be to remake the image on a higher resolution document? Or is it a colour problem? I only noticed it later on when the image had become quite advanced.

Bit late for a fix, I'll just work around it now it's not that bad. I noticed the same problem on computers in college, but not on my desktop computer (I'm on my laptop). Just really bugging me.

Thanks

can you post an example image? I don't know if I can help, but I can get a better idea if I see it.
