Bad... :(

First of all, try to learn some coding. If you know a bit of coding, you could do lots more than just this. Even a little bit of coding. There's just a few lines of PHP you should know, and HTML will teach itself to you, when you try to analyze the source of your pages.

Instead of frames, you should use tables, or maybe in the future div's. Try to adjust the color scheme to a bit more food'ish colors. Besides that, try to stuff in some images that are directly linked to food in your mind.

By the way, welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the welcome.
What`s the big thing about tables anyway. Don`t they do the same thing?

I went for grey to match the forum, and i think it makes the links stand out more.

Also, do you know why a lot of sites seem to be this skinny strip down the middle of the page now, or is it just the trend of the moment?

Welcome to DEVPPL Paulie, I think you should read some tutorials for how to make a design with photoshop.

Here are some tutorials:

Its hard to make a site without any graphic on it, can't you tro to get Photoshop or any other graphic program. Try go get a trial version of Photoshop or paint shop pro or something.

I`ve just downloaded "Gimp". Maybe that`ll help a bit.

personally disagree, I think that too many people get hooked on graffics. CSS is the way of the future. you can put out an attractive page, place your content, and make a strawberry smoothy with less than twenty lines of code. Graphics on the other hand take up band width and slow down your page loads. Granted a banner is a good idea and a few custom buttons are cool, but if you want to get listed, the more text the better.

I agree, however, that frames are a bad idea. They arent' supported well, search engines don't like them, and, in the case of this page, there are so many scroll bars you don't know how to view the content.

True true.. But I think designing a page with just CSS and no images is abit overkill for a beginner, but you are right, it could be done, and it will be very fast to load.

I think that you need a combination of both CSS and graphics...
