Hardware (Webcam) Problem

Hardware (Webcam) Problem

Postby flabbyrabbit on Fri Jan 04, 2008 10:14 pm

I have a cheap ass technika webcam. It use to work on this computer but i had to erase my hard drive and start again. When it came to using the camera after reboot, i was obviously promoted to insert the disc, which i could not find. So windows took me through the manual driver assignment, and i click the wrong button, so my webcam does not work. I have since found the disc and installed the driver/software, but my webcam still does not work. I guess this is because windows already thinks it knows what hardware it is. How do i change what windows thinks my webcam is??

I know this probably makes no sense, but i cant think how to explain it. Please help, how can i get my webcam to work.
